Japon-france.net (hereinafter referred to as “Administrator”) establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) regarding the handling of user’s personal information provided on this website for the services (hereinafter referred to as “the Services”) offered.
Article 1 (Personal Information)
“Personal information” refers to information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other descriptions contained in that information, as well as data on appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and insurance card numbers that can identify a specific individual on their own (personal identification information), in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
Article 2 (Method of Collecting Personal Information)
Administrator may ask users to provide personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, driver’s license number, etc. when registering for use. Administrator may also collect transaction records and payment-related information including users’ personal information through transactions between users and partner companies, etc. (including information providers, advertisers, and ad distributors, hereinafter referred to as “partners”).
Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)
The purposes for which Administrator collects and uses personal information are as follows:

Article 4 (Changes to the Purpose of Use)

- In the event of changing the purpose of use, Administrator shall notify the user of the changed purpose using Administrator’s prescribed method or publish it on this website.
Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
Except for the cases listed below, Administrator will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the user’s prior consent. However, this excludes cases where it is permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations.
- In cases where it is necessary to protect human life, body, or property, and obtaining the individual’s consent is difficult,
- In cases where it is particularly necessary for the promotion of public health or the sound upbringing of children, and obtaining the individual’s consent is difficult,

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, in the following cases, the recipient of such information shall not be considered a third party.
- When our company entrusts the handling of personal information in its entirety or in part within the scope necessary to achieve the intended purpose,
- When personal information is provided due to business succession through merger or other reasons,
- When personal information is jointly used with specific parties, and in such cases, the individual is notified in advance or placed in an easily accessible state regarding the purpose of such joint use, the items of personal information used in common, the range of parties involved in the joint use, the purpose of use by the joint users, and the name or title of the responsible party for managing such personal information.
Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
When a user requests Administrator to disclose their personal information, Administrator shall promptly disclose the information to the user. However, if any of the following applies, Administrator may not disclose all or part of the information, and shall notify the user of such non-disclosure promptly. Additionally, a fee of 10 eur per request for disclosure may be charged.
- When there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the user or a third party
- When there is a risk of significantly impeding the proper implementation of Administrator’s business
- When disclosing the information would violate any law or regulation
Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, information other than personal information such as usage history and characteristic information shall generally not be disclosed.
Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
- If a user’s personal information held by Administrator is incorrect, the user can request Administrator to correct, add, or delete (hereinafter referred to as “correction, etc.”) their personal information according to Administrator’s prescribed procedures.
- If Administrator determines that it is necessary to respond to the user’s request in accordance with the preceding paragraph, Administrator shall promptly make the necessary corrections, etc., to the relevant personal information.
- If Administrator has made corrections, etc., in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or if it has decided not to make corrections, etc., it shall promptly notify the user of such actions.
Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)
- If a user requests Administrator to stop or delete the use of their personal information, based on reasons such as the personal information being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or being obtained through fraudulent means, Administrator shall promptly conduct the necessary investigations.
- Based on the results of the investigation under the preceding paragraph, if Administrator determines that it is necessary to respond to the user’s request, it shall promptly suspend or delete the use of the relevant personal information.
- If Administrator has suspended or deleted the use of personal information in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or if it has decided not to suspend or delete the use, it shall promptly notify the user of such actions.
- Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding two paragraphs, if suspension or deletion of use would involve significant costs or if it is otherwise difficult to suspend or delete use, but an alternative measure is necessary to protect the user’s rights and interests, Administrator may take such alternative measures.
Article 9 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
- Except for matters stipulated separately by law or in this Policy, Administrator may change the contents of this Policy without notifying the user.
- Unless otherwise specified by Administrator, the updated Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
